Tuanku Sirajuddin Travelling Fellowship (Malaysia to UK)

The Tuanku Sirajuddin Travelling Fellowship is a collaborative initiative between the College of Physicians Malaysia (COPM) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (RCPSG). The Fellowship provides an opportunity for eligible Malaysian physicians to undertake a professional and educational attachment in the United Kingdom, promoting international collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the advancement of clinical practice.

Through this Fellowship, the selected recipient will have the opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to clinical practice within a recognised UK teaching hospital, participate in academic and educational activities, and strengthen professional networks with colleagues in the United Kingdom. 

Upon returning to Malaysia, Fellows are encouraged to apply and share their experiences to enhance patient care and contribute to the continued development of internal medicine in Malaysia.

Applicants must:

• Be a registered medical specialist in Malaysia
• Be a current member of the College of Physicians Malaysia (COPM)
• Be a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK)
• Demonstrate strong professional standing and commitment to advancing internal medicine in Malaysia
• Be able to obtain approval for leave from their employer or line manager

The successful Fellow will receive:

• Funding of up to £3,000 to support travel, accommodation, and subsistence expenses. 
• Opportunity to undertake a clinical attachment at a recognised teaching hospital in the United Kingdom. 
• Mentorship and supervision by senior physicians. 
• Participation in departmental academic activities, ward rounds, meetings, and teaching sessions. 
• Opportunities to establish professional networks and future academic collaborations. 
• A Certificate of Completion upon successful completion of the Fellowship.

Applications for the Tuanku Sirajuddin Travelling Fellowship are administered by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (RCPSG).
